HOW TO FIND US
Bridge Farm, Warrington Road, Bartington, Northwich, Cheshire CW8 4QU
We are located just off the A49 at Bartington, near Acton Bridge.
From Warrington/Stretton roundabout (J10, M56), head towards Whitchurch (A49) straight through at the traffic lights, past the Holly Bush pub (situated on your left). Look out for our sign shortly afterwards and turn right. (You’ve missed us if you go over the big black and white swing bridge). Journey time: approx. 10 mins.
From the traffic lights (near to Blakemere Craft Centre, Sandiway), turn on to the A49 heading towards Warrington. Straight through the traffic lights (White Barn pub on your right) until you reach a roundabout. Take the first left (still following the A49). Cross over the Acton Bridge swing bridge which crosses the River Weaver. 9. Past the Leigh Arms Pub (on the right) and the derelict pub, then take the next left. Journey time 10mins
Our nearest rail stations are Acton Bridge, Cuddington & Runcorn for more details of timetables and how to get from these stations, check out the following website: Trainline
Our land adjoins the towpath side of the Trent & Mersey Canal between bridge nos. 209 -210 (Black Prince Narrow Boats, Bartington Wharf). You can reach us either by walking from the boatyard down the hill from the car park and we are on the right. Journey time: less than 2 mins.
Alternatively you can walk from bridge number 209, down the hill and follow the signs to the tea room. This route takes slightly longer as you’ll probably need to stop for a chat with Eric and Ernie the Alpacas.
If you arriving by boat we suggest that you moor just before bridge 211 as it is designated private mooring between bridges 209-210. From bridge 211, walk up to the top of the bridge and walk down the hill and through the little wood. This will bring you out next to the Leigh Arms pub. Turn right and walk towards the A49. Carefully cross the A49 and walk down the lane directly opposite. Journey time approx.10mins.
On the River Weaver, moor by Acton Bridge Swing Bridge and walk up to the road (A49). Turn left walking a short way until you reach a lane. Turn left down the lane and the entrance to the car park is on the left. (Journey time: approximately 10mins)
10. Cheshire Cycleway Route 70 and National Cycleway 5 follows the A49 at Acton Bridge swing bridge. 10. On the A49, in the direction of Warrington, turn left opposite the derelict Pub, we are situated on the left. For more information click on the link below:
